the new seat probaly has diffarent features mabe one has heated the other doesnt i would get a taredown manual and check the wiring diaogram and see what is shown from one seat to the other

Ron is correct. First year pcm and tcm same unit. You must reflash the new one.

code p 1778 refers to CVT step motor--mechanical malfunction===causes ---step motor
the CVT is a constant velocity transmission that has no gear ratios as such but uses a special belt between two pulleys that change flange widths in unison so that as the road speed increases one pulley gets smaller and the other larger
the step motor controls the pulley adjustment
Take it to a service dealer or an accredited specialist transmission shop with experience on that transmission

What is a driveline services for a 2004 Nissan Murano

the CVT transmission should not need service until 100k miles.

Additionally Nissan extended the service of all Muranos with CVT transmissiont to 120k miles.

you can check the forum nissanmurano.org for any Murano issues. I am not affiliated with that site but a regular user
