Valve clearance 1991 Ford Econovan BJ

Hey there, I have a question about my Ford Econovan Bj. 91 Patrol 2.0 Camper. I would like to adjust the valve clearance. In the owner's manual, I found that the engine should be brought to operating temperature before setting the valve clearance. I am looking for the setting values ?? for the inlet and outlet valve. maybe someone can help me @

Valve clearances are the small gaps between the tops of the valve stems and the part of the mechanism which presses on them to open the valves . Check the clearances at regular intervals as specified in the car service schedule, and adjust if necessary. Reset the clearances whenever the cylinder head has been removed.

SOURCE: i have to adjust valve

What engine do you have (size)? Valve adjustment is generally a thing of the past after the introduction of hydraulic lifters (no adjustment). In 1994 your engine should have hydraulic lifters and are not adjustable. Is this a high performance engine? New camshaft, lifter, and rocker set that are adjustable?

The dwell angles for a 1991 Ford Econovan LWBS 2000cc petrol motor running on 96 RON Petrol Engine in good condition?

this engine should have an electronic ignition in which case there is no dwell angle
dwell angle was the degrees between the points opening and closing to give maximum saturation for the coil field
as it should be ab EFI engine then ECM makes the adjustment necessary for the correct setting for the fuel in use
as it is a low compression engine , the fuel octane rating that is best suited for it is 91
it will run well on 96 but the advantage gained is outweighed by the cost

My lifters are getting really loud on my 91 honda accord ex

All you need is to adjust the valve tappet clearance back to the original specification. It is a time consuming effort and require passion to do it. You need to remove the top engine cover, set timing belt to top dead centre then adjust intake & exhaust valve clearance one by one. Rotare the cranckshaft 180 degree and repeat the valve clearance,. I would suggest to leave it to the expert.
