I need to change out the positive wire harness on my 98 mitsubishi eclipse(4 cyl. 2.0 ltr. no turbo). Would like to do it myself but have never done it before. I would like a guide or a fuse and wiring diagram to do it myself. I'm more of an old school mechanic and all these electrical wires got me scratching my head.
Here is the factory electrical manual. It should have everything you need. (Mitsubishi has the best electrical manual i have ever seen)

look for access panels in rear hatch there will be one on each side remove those and there will be 10 ml nuts holding the light housings on remove those then you can access the lights

The thermostat is found at the end of the top radiator hose . Find the top radiator hose and follow it to the engine .There you will find a thermostat housing with the end of the hose attached . There will be 2 bolts holding down the housing to the engine. Undo the bolts and pull the housing off and the thermostat will be there.

if thats okay, check the Cam Angle and Crank Angle sensors. if it isn't any of those, its probably the ECU
