Check your front brakes. Be sure to check the inboard pads, not just outboard. We have seen many time the outboard pad looks good, but the inboard pad is falling apart.

Bleed power steering on 2008 dodge avenger

to bleed power steering, with front wheels off ground slightly with front wheels pointing straight ahead.engine off. remove power steering filler cap.add power steering until fluid level stop dropping, wait couple minutes and wait, add fluid until level stay at full cold mark on power steering cap dip stick. dont over fill.when fluid level stop dropping, start vechicle, let it idle few minutes. see if fluid level drop if so add more fluid full cold mark.then turn steering all the way to left and right with out hitting a stop.turn steering wheel several times, then turn front wheels pointing forward check power steering fluid level.if power steering fluid level stop dropping air should be out of system, if steering turning wheel dont turn smoothly and power steering fluid look light tan color air getting in the system.check all power steering lines to rack and power steering pump for leaks.be sure you replaced all the power steering lines with new o rings if not you will get a leak.if you find a leak, you need to fix the leak and bleed system again.dont drive vechicle if your steering dont feel right, have vechicle towed to a garage.

I hear a loud grinding noise when i drive my car

Check front tyres & wheel bearings espesially the R/H/F. Feel tyre for high / low spots on inside & jack up & spin wheel if you get noise while jacked up it is not the tyres but wheel bearing or brake pads but more than likly a crook bearing by the sound of it. It needs to be tended to ASAP

I get a grinding noise and slight vibrations that I can feel under my feet. This usually happens at low speeds, but has become more noticeable now at c. 30 mph.

You need wheel bearings.. One for sure maybe 2. Do you feel it in the steering wheel or floor? The floor usually means rear and the steering wheel usually means front. Hope this helps. It should change pitch when you drive left to right at a steady speed. :-) Cobra

Grinding noise changes with speed stops when turned right. replaced left front wheel bearing. noise is still there. whats wrong ?

Does sound stop when you turn LEFT?

Turning RIGHT puts the heavy load on the LEFT front wheel.
That initially STOPPED the noise, correct? So why did you change L?

Turning LEFT puts the load on the RIGHT. Did you change the RIGHT?

Let's say this:
If turning RIGHT stops the noise, it's the RIGHT one that's likely bad.
If turning LEFT stops the noise, it's the LEFT one that's more likely bad.

Make sense? Turning RIGHT loads the LEFT wheel; and vice-versa as the WEIGHT SHIFTS AWAY FROM THE TURN.

More than likely it is what some folks call a CV joint problem, not wheel bearings. Try backing up and then going forward to see if "clunking sound" or a sharp "bang" is heard. Wheel bearings and CV joints only work if smooth. Sometimes a BEARING RACE is bad. Also, a bad spindle / part of the CV joint / transaxle assembly worn or badly machined. If in a WET ENVIRONMENT especially, u may want to try marine grade grease or teflon-added grease.

Does sound come from POWER STEERING PUMP area?
