Is there B+ voltage at the blower motor, ORANGE wire . Is the HTR/A/C Fuse good ? 25 amp .
Bad blower motor or the switch is or there is a wiring problem ! Go to youtube an check out a few videos on testing blower motor circuits , and basic electrical trouble shooting !
Also go to www.bbbind.com for a wiring diagram of the heater blower motor circuit .
there is a BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR located down towards the floor board on the passenger side under the kick panel... that resistor will... well.... lose resistance and only work on certain settings
If your blower works at some speeds and not others, the likelihood of the blower motor needing to be replaced is low. The more common problems would be either the switch or the resister that regulates the motor speed. The resistor is usually located in the air duct under the dash.
In your Suburban there is a high blower relay. When the switch to high is selected it activates a relay to another circuit that is fused separately. This fuse in under the hood marked blower fuse 3 which is a 50 amp fuse. This is most likely the problem. However, if it isn't then the problem becomes the relay, the switch or a broken wire. If it isn't the fuse, contact me back here using comments and I will help you with the next step in fixing your heater blower.
SOUNDS LIKE THE SWITCH & OR THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR, ARE THE PROBLEM WITH THE LOWER SPEEDS. SPEED 5 MAY HAVE ITS OWN FUSE, REFER TO OWNERS MANUAL FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THE HEATER/AC FUSE.
beleive it or not it is the high speed blower relay ... has one setting for high and a variable setting for all lower speeds ... usually found on the firewall near the blower motor
