If I am not mistaken isn't that a shift solenoid code. If it is a shift solenoid code you will need to service the tranny and have it replaced. You can also check and see it there are any service bulletins or recalls on the tranny system through your local dealer.
Testimonial: "i have another ques. about the shift solenoid is it possible that u can do it yourself and how do u go about doing it if so."
Dear Williammoody,
I saw your advice to terry69jam on Sep 26, 2009.
I have the same error code p1750 which shows up as
"Mechanical Problem in Hydraulic Control System of A/T Clutch Pressure
Control Solenoid." Your initial
recommendation to terry69jam is replacing a tranny. Was your later suggestion on replacement of
the shift solenoid can be made in lieu of replacing a tranny? Does "pack" mean the shift solenoid? If yes, where can I find a replacement and
how much would that cost?
I had a similar problem, it shifted weird, then the ATC system went on by itself and only reset after shutting off the car. I added lucas extender, then lucas fix transmission, and they did help, it shifts better and I have 101000 miles on it. the dealer wanted 3800 to replace with new trans. I couldn't afford that, so I chose to try lucas and have been happy. lucas fix trans is VERY thick, so drain more than you have to, mix trans fix with regular trans fluid then be patient while pouring it in. it is no guarantee, but it should help unless you have electrical issues. good luck
SOURCE: 2000 Accordlx eng. light on and drive blinks yellow code p0780?
po780 is a trans hydrolic systen code
could be a shift solinoid gone bad
have an experienced mechanic replace the lock-up controlle solenoid control solenoid valve/shift controlle solenoid valve "A" assembley
and the A\T clutch pressure control solenoid valve "A"/"B" assembley
start with these two parts farily inexpensive if this doesnt solve the problem then the trans needs to be replaced really expensive
both of these parts are located on the out side of the trans
rank my solution

u need to have the codes retrieved and take it from there, there are specific codes that need to be troubleshooted in order to diagnose it correctly...
