To access the bulb, the housing cover cap can be twisted counterclockwise and pulled out. The bulb is held by a retainer clip and it can be difficult to tackle. Need to push the metal clip towards the front of the car, and then push to the side. When the clip is no longer hold the bulb in its place, the bulb can be pulled easily.

How to change a headlamp in a mercedes benz c280

When changing a headlamp in a mercedes benz c280 1995. Lift the hood latch on the inside of the car. This is located under the driver side of the car. Release the hoodlatch in the front. Open the hood and behind the headlamp (left or right), Remove the two clamps that hold the back cover onto the light. After this cover is removed, behind the headlight there is a wire behind the light that hold the light in. Squeeze the two wires together and pull them back. This will release the light. Remove the light from the socket. Place the new bulb in the socket. Remember not to touch the bulb with your fingers, this could cause the bulb to break if it gets the oil from your fingers onto the bulb. Once the bulb is replaced, put the wire back in place and replace the back cover of the light.

HowTo change headlamps on 1996 Honda Accord

Replacing a burned-out headlamp is simple and doesn't require any tools.

First, buy a replacement bulb, type 9006 (low beams) When you open the package, be very careful that you don't touch the glass of the new bulb. The oil from your skin can cause the bulb to warp and explode when you turn it on.

Second, open the hood and locate the back of the burned-out headlamp. There will be an electrical connector on the back of the bulb, held in place with a locking connector. The lock is the small plastic tab in the middle of the connector. Press in on the bottom of this tab, and it should give slightly, releasing the lock. Hold this tab in place and push straight down on the connector, wiggling if needed, to unplug the old bulb.

Third, locate the lock ring that holds the bulb in place. This is a round plastic ring, about the size of a peanut-butter jar lid. Turn the lock ring about 1/4 turn clockwise (top of the ring should move towards the driver's side, bottom of the ring move towards the passenger side)
If there's dirt build-up, this ring may be stuck. Tap gently with a screwdriver handle and try again. DO NOT use a hammer, or you'll break the headlamp housing!

Once you turn the lock ring, the old bulb should come straight out. Put the new bulb in place and do the steps in reverse order to finish:

- turn the lock ring counter-clockwise to lock the new bulb in place
- push the electrical connector on until the lock tab "CLICK"s into place

Trying to replace headlights and cannot get cover off...

Hi there,

In order to replace the headlamp bulbs make sure your headlight is off. Firstly, remove the bolt from the headlight housing. At the back of the headlamp, pry up and remove the two retrianer pins to release the headlamp assembly from the vehicle and pull headlamp forward then remove the protective dust shield from the housing by turning the dust shield counterclockwise when viewed from the rear. After that, you can disconnect electrical connector from the bulb by pulling rearward and then remove the bulb retaining ring by rotating it counterclockwise.

Furthermore, remove the old pulling it straight out of lamp assembly. To install the new bulb, handle halogen headlamp bulb carefully grasping the bulb only by its plastic base and do not touch the glass ol from your hand which may cause the bulb to break. This way, next time you want to install a new bulb in lamp assembly, you can do that by pushing it straight in with the flat surface of bulb's plastic base facing upward. You may also need to turn the bulb slightly to align the grooves in plastic base with the tabs in lamp assembly.

Install the bulb retaining ring over the plastic base and lock the ring by rotating clockwise until it snaps into place. Then connect the electrical connector to bulb. Install the protective dust shield and lock the shield by rotating it clockwise until it locks into place. Also, carefully position the headlamp assembly onto the vehicle and hold the headlamp assembly snugly against the vehicle and install the retainer pins straight down to lock lamp into place.

Before reinstalling the bolt make sure the retainer pins are fully seated and install the bolt on the headlamp housing. Turn the lights on and make sure they work well and that they are aligned correctly. If you can do all these, that is fine. In any case you can not do this, then take the vehicle go to an auto parts store. I am sure they will be of help.

Good luck!

How to change headlight lamp in 2005 Pontiac g6

To change the bulbs you need to first remove the 5 plastic pop screws on the front bumper. They're spread out at the top of the bumper right under the hood. Once you get those out, you have to remove the two hex bolts on each headlight. Then it gets tricky. You need to pull the light towards the front of the car until it pops out of the ball-bearing type mount on the fender. Once that pops out, you have to pull the front bumper forward while maneuvering the headlight out towards the front.

As per the manual it says as follows:---

Open the hood.

Hold the headlamp to prevent damage to the headlamp or to the fascia. Remove the bolts from the headlamp assembly. Remove the push-in-retainers across the front fascia. Remove the headlamp assembly. Lift the headlamp upward to release the locating tab from the front edge of the fender.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly.

Remove the headlamp bulb access cover by rotating the headlamp bulb access cover counterclockwise, if necessary.

Remove the headlamp bulb from the housing by rotating the socket counterclockwise, if necessary.

Disconnect the headlamp bulb electrical connector, if necessary.

Remove the park/turn bulb access cover by rotating the cover counterclockwise, if necessary.

Remove the park/turn bulb from the housing by rotating the socket counterclockwise, if necessary.

Gently pull the park/turn bulb from the socket, if necessary. Install the park/turn bulb into the bulb socket.

Install the park/turn bulb socket into the headlamp housing by rotating the socket clockwise.

Install the park/turn bulb access cover by rotating the cover clockwise.

Connect the headlamp bulb to the headlamp electrical connector.

Install the headlamp bulb into the headlamp housing. Rotate the socket clockwise until locked.

Install the headlamp bulb access cover by rotating the cover clockwise.

Position the headlamp assembly to the vehicle. Lift the headlamp upward to release the locating tab to the front edge of the fender.

Install the bolts to the headlamp assembly. Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Install the push-in-retainers across the front fascia.

Close the hood.

How to put in a headlight on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer

Hello,
Please follow the stepwise solution carefully.
1.Open the hood and disconnect the truck's negative battery cable.
2.
Remove the grille. Unbolt and remove the plastic panel over the radiator, then use a flat screwdriver to release the clips securing the grille at the bottom to the headlight panel and lift the grill off.

3.
Pull up the retaining tabs for the headlight housing, which are on opposite ends, and carefully pull the housing out. Remove the park/turn signal bulb socket from the housing by detaching the holders and electrical connectors and disconnect the side marker socket.

4.
Take off the circular access cover from the rear of the headlight housing. Twist the bulb in a counterclockwise direction, withdraw the bulb with its electrical connector from the housing and disconnect the electrical connector.

5.
Hold the new bulb by the holder--do not touch the glass--as you connect the electrical connector. Place the bulb in the housing and twist it clockwise to lock it in place. Close the access cover.

6.
Install the headlight housing into the panel, connecting the electrical connectors, signal bulb socket and side marker socket. Push the retaining tabs in place.

7.Reinstall the grille and plastic radiator panel and reconnect the negative battery cable.

Problem solved.

Take care.

How do change the rear right turn signal light bulb in a 94 ford thunderbird?

Typically you have to pull the (cardboard) liner in the trunk away from the light assembly, to get to the bulb. Then, gently twist the bulb holder one way or the other, until it comes loose from the tail light housing. Gently push the bulb in towards the socket that holds it, turn it counter-clockwise, and release the bulb. It should come loose. Assembly is the same, but in reverse.
