This is not a fuse problem, it is a burnt out display backlight bulb, you have to pull the radio out of the dash and remove the top cover of the radio, you will see a tiny bulb socket, twist it out, replace that little bulb.

If this model has an amplified system, then you may need a different wiring harness. The harness you purchased may be for the non amplified model. Try that, and let us know.

Sounds like you have connected your illumination/park light wire to earth the stereo. try disconnect the black wire from your stereo and reconnect it to a metal earth point on the dash, if this works just tape up (insulate) the wire that was the problem.
This is a common problem when fitting stereos as the illumination wire will go to earth when not switched on.

Check to see if the dimmer wire is connected to the back of the player. It is usually orange. See if it is connected to your car. If your car doesn't have a dimmer wire, you may need to hook it up to light switch dimmer or other power source.
If the wire is already connected, it may be a faulty capacitor inside the LED of the player
