My 1884 Malibu with a chev 3.8 V6 starts fine, runs at idle fine,but if you accelerate it stalls. Changed filters had carb rebuilt, good plugs,new points etc.?????

car was running fine, filled up tank at gas station and car has not been good since. It started shuttering and my engine light has come on. not sure what happened but it's not starting well, but will start and feels and sounds like it wants to stall but doesn't.Can you help?

2006 sts Cadillac v6 starts and run fine when accelerating the car feels like it going to stall I let up off the gas and slowly press gas runs fine when I'm at a stop light and try to accelerate fast

Check fuel pressure and volume possible bad fuel filter (not enough fuel volume for hard acceleration)

My 1992 chev lumina apv van stalls everytime i put on the brakes at every red light it restarts after no codes are coming up what could it be?:

check to make sure the power brake booster is not leaking, do this by starting the van and just let it idle in park and push the brake pedal if the engine stalls or surges or you hear a sucking noise under the dash then replace the power brake booster if there is none of these systems then replace the idle control motor. GOOD LUCK

Fuel injector are worn out they. Might be dribbling as a bigger engine it won't stall or flood it raises the idling making you feel it's power but consuming more fuel

Hesitation , skipping,engine cuts out when accelerating

Im having the same issue I believe. I have a 94\' Chevy 1500 and when i accelerate it will jerk like the gas has cut out but it wont stall. It just jerks and slows me down. It only seems to do it when going up a hill. I feel like it could be the fuel pump or possibly some intake gaskets?

Does the engine run properly when you drive it? Does it accelerate normally, or does it hesitate & ****? If it runs poor, it may be the wires crossed. If it just stalls at idle, you may have a bad Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, or a partially stuck open EGR valve.
