When you sit in the seat and put the seat belt on does everything work ok . If so look to the fact that you are required to wear a seat belt and the fact that you are not might be the problem.

if your dash lights are blinking and even when you turn the headlights do as well ,the alternator has a problem and possible on the regulator and the brushes as well. Ask your electrician to do the alternator check up before he removes it to confirm the fault first.

check make sure alternator charging battery if alternator fails volts out put 11.0 volts that will set off abs light, if alternator okay have vechicle abs brake system scanned at the volkswagon dealership.if abs light flashing while in motion could have faulty wheel speed sensor.

Here's a thought...I had my ABS light staying on and all I did was add brake fluid...maybe this can be helpful to you?

have alternator tested possible battery not problem and that alternator not charging battery also check connections around battery and alternator for loose ,damaged or corroded wiring

i know all about the vegas heat. i live in henderson. the alternator is going out. the regulator is internal so you have to replace the whole alternator.

MAKE SURE YOUR CAR BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR IS IN GOOD OPERATION.HAVE THEM TESTED.I HAVE SEEN A CAR WITH ABS AND AMPS LIGHTS ON.THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT PUTTING OUT ENOUGH VOLTS TO RUN THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM. IF ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY IS GOOD.I WOULD REPLACE THE ABS RELAY FIRST.ITS GOES BAD CAUSE THE ABS BRAKES NOT TO WORK.IF ABS RELAY IS GOOD.THEN IT HAS TO BE ABS MODULE GOING BAD.IT HAS TO BE REPLACED.

THE ABS LIGHT.GAUGES & DIM LIGHTS ARE THE RESULT OF THE ALTERNATOR GOING BAD.YOU HAVE SOMETHING SHORTING OUT YOUR ALTERNATORS.THATS WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT.
