You need to crank the heat let the car run for ten minutes shut it off let it cool down till morning check the coolant again top off and drive it for the day periodically checking the level in the overflow I must stress this ONLY USE VOLVO BLUE COOLANT ! If you don't you will find out all of the fun it will cause u people will tell u anything to buy there product but consider yourself warned if you are running green coolant it will eat the fins off the water pump because the metals in volvos are different that's why they had to make a special coolant for acidity so it won't ruin internal engine parts !!!!
you are supposed to replace it with only Pentosin CHF-11 hydraulic fluid or something equivalent. And also maybe your used pump is bad, or you have air trapped. To bleed it turn lock to lock many times and hold it at lock for few seconds.Check this video out. Volvo S60 Power Steering Drain and Fill
You could have a bad MAF (mass air flow) sensor. It would really help if we could know the code.
Have you ever fueled up with the engine running? How is your fuel mileage? Has it ever backfired?
Why don't you run by an auto parts (they will do it for free) store and have it rescanned and get back to me.
