They are physically interchangable, but on the "low" filament, the 3057 is weaker than the 3157 (2 mcd < 3 mcd). The two bulbs produce the same amount of illumination for the brake lights, but the 3157 is slightly brighter than the 3057 when just the tail lights are on.

How to change front turn signal light bulb 1992 cadillac deville

You need a T-15 star bit driver that is referred to as TORX. On the top and bottom of tail light are the screws. Carefully remove the chrome trim then the light pulls out after applying slight upward pressure. Once you twist out the socket the bulb simply unplugs. It should be either a 3057 or 3157 bulb.

I need to know which fuse needs to be replaced to make the driver's side brake light work? What a pain this always is. Who's idea was it to NOT include a fuse map for the interior of this car? Good Lord.

There is no separate fuse for one brake light, check the connector at the brake light bulb, and replace the bulbs,do not change the bulb out with a similar number, like if it uses a 3057 bulb,do not use a 3157,they are different.Look at the terminals, with no voltage to the light, and bend the contacts for the bulb inward to make sure there is contact.

As for the horn, inspect the fuse and relay and most common it would be a bad ground wire or worst a bad horn due to corrosion. Horn will be located in the drivers side fender.

Brake lights dont work. Center brake light does work. fuse ok. 2001 Olds alero

IT SEEMS THAT YOUR TAIL LIGHT BULBS ARE BLOWN, DO YOUR TURN SIGNALS FLASH FASTER THAN NORMAL ? IF SO IT IS FOR SURE THE REAR BULBS. TO REPLACE THE BULBS,LOOK IN THE TRUNK,& YOU WILL EITHER SEE SOME BLACK T HANDLE NUTS OR 10 OR 11 MM NUTS, THAT HOLD THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY IN TAKE THE NUTS OFF,& CAREFULLY PULL THE ASSEMBLY OUT ,YOU WILL SEE THE SOCKETS, SOME HAVE A LITTLE CATCH ON THEN LIKE A GALLON ANTIFREEZE JUG HAS THAT YOU HAVE TO PUSH IN,&THEN TWIST & OTHERS JUST TWIST OUT,IT SHOULD TAKE EITHER A 3157 OR 3057,BULB, BUT CHECK TO SEE FOR SURE AT THE AUTO PARTS WHERE YOU BUY THE BULBS.

Brake lights

There is a metal tab that makes a contact for power to all three bulbs. Remove the taillight assembly and check the contact.
