2001 Chevy Silverado. When I plug in the trailer lites, the brake & signal lites work fine, but the tail lites don't. Where is the fuse on the truck for the trailer tail lites?
Its in the engine compartment in the fuse box on the drivers side next to battery

In my experience when the running lights blow a fuse (and brakes and turn signal still work), it is usually a wire has pulled loose from one of the cheap side marker lights on the side of the trailer. For some crazy reason these are male plugs so when they come loose they short to the trailer and blow your running light fuse. Pop off all of the amber and red side marker lights (for most of them no tools are required, except a screwdriver to pop them out of their plastic holders) and check their connections, fix and secure the loose one.
I assume that your truck's taillights work when you unhook the trailer?
Fuse for the trailer tail lites is the same fuse as for the Truck's tail lights. I'd guess you have (1) bad wiring for the trailer connection on the truck, (2) bad wirings on the trailer somewhere, or (3) bad light bulbs/sockets on the trailer.
Do you have a meter? Can you check the output to the connector on the truck, without the trailer attached?

It sounds like your green and yello wires are shorted together somewhere along the length of the harness. I would check the wires on the trailer first. Easier yet, if you have another trailer to connec or access to another to use for testing, connect to it and see if the problem repeats; if it does the trouble is in the vehicle's wiring.
