Turn the igition to on,then off.Pull on the key while the igition is in the lock position at the same time turn the steering wheel left to right.The steering wheel will move slightly while in the lock position

Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 11 minutes the light will turn OFF.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
remove fuse when leaving overnite--the ignition lock or switch is bad or issue with wiring--junk yards have good used parts or bring it to an xperiencd mechanic not a dealer
I would take a look at the wires down at the starter. He may have the large positive wire shorting to the smaller, trigger, wire. This could potentially cause a back-feed through the whole system.
I highly doubt that the clock radio is drainng your battery. Check the under hood lamp, the glove box lamp, and if none of these lead you to the cause, the put a 12 volt test lamp between the battery neg, terminal( having removed it first) and the battery neg connector. If there is a draw, the lamp will light brightly. Remove fuses untill it goes very dim, and that will be the circuit that has the draw. Should be easy to narrow down after that! Turn ignition key to run position so that red & yellow idiot lights stay on. Leave in this position for 10 minutes. At first you should see theft light flashing then it will go to on. Then turn key to off. Then start vehicle.
I had the same exact thing happen to me, I have a 97 blazer and after hours of screwing around with it and several different options... it turned out to simply be the ignition switch.
