My '01 Tribute V6 3.0 has a rough idle at a cold start up, once the engine is warmed up and I have been driving for 5-10 minutes it clears up, but until then it will go dead if I do not give it gas at idle. I have changed the following: Ignition Coil ,Tune Up,Throttle Position Sensor,Crankshaft Position Sensor,Fuel Filter,Air Filter and have cleaned the following: Idle Control Valve.

I got isuzu npr300 its hard to start on cold days and once started it idles rough and blows blue white smoke and clears up in 500m and once get warm then no problem all daytry to cut off

sounds like a sticking choke problem.

Don't waste your time. Have the intake manifold gaskets (upper and lower) replaced. Check all vacuum lines for leaks. Clamp all vacuum hose connections.
Do NOT replace any sensors unless the computer codes indicate.
THIS WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM!

Benoff2818 is right change the intake gaskets first but before that i would check all vaccum lines to make sure there are no leaks then get a can of starting fluid and spray around the intake and if you get a rpm change from idle then its the intake gaskets

I had the same cold start/ rough idle problem. The dealer spent 6 different sessions on this, costing me about $1800 total, before I saw the online discussion of lower intake manifold gasket. The shop was skeptical, but I authorized the gasket replacement alone (they wanted to replace the PCM!) That was it! Unfortunately they refused to adjust the unneeded repairs, parts and diagnosis even partly, but the cold start problem is solved, and my Mazda has a lot of new parts, sigh!

I had the same problem rough idle/cold but then noticed after awhile it was all the time so I literally got into the engine compartment checking vacuum lines.I also remembered reading about spraying starting fluid so I did that and Lo & behold . the three lines on top backside one had a break at the elbow area so after replacing that it is all fine
