It will be best if you get a workshop manual for the job and it will explain what you have to do and what tools are needed
ultimately you will be spending as much as if you have an accredited workshop do the job
Remember any costly mistakes they make are covered by warranty, where you mistakes cost extra
The only thing you will be saving is the labour costs and as it will take you probably 3 times longer to get it right even that is cheap
Accredited shops will recommend the replacement of cam and crank shaft seal, hydraulic tensioner , idler pulleys and belt which will amount to around $700 dollars regardless of who does the job as this is the job done professionally and it means that you will get the next 60.000 miles or 100.000 klms belt trouble free
Take short cuts ( which you will do to save money)and the job may have to be done again in half the expected distance.
The entire dash must be removed. This is a job that takes about 14 yours for an amateur mechanic at home. I suggest you have this repair done by a professional.
the problem to start with is a bad brake master cylinder and will remain so until the master cylinder is replaced
brake systems operate front left back right on one section of the m/cyl and front right back left on the other section
take it to a professional brake shop and have the job done safely
Done several of these....not the easiest of jobs due to limited space....best left to a professional. Always best practise to renew the water pump whilst you are in there too, as it would be almost the same amount of work agian to replace at a later date.
Under dash on driver's side
The front spark plugs
are easy. To change the rear plugs the top mixing (plenum) chamber has
to be removed. This involves removal of cables, electrical connectors,
throttle body, vacuum hoses, & rear support brackets. Nasty job.
Best left to a professional. you can buy a book from a parts store whats the car doing that makes you think it needs plugs and wires
this sounds like a problem in the blend door actuater.check under the right side of dash for loose or un-connected vacuum hose. this is a job best handled by a certified a/c tech.hope this helps, not an expensive job Thanks Ray if you need more help get back to me. lease rate my fix as i strive to be the best
AC repair require a vacuum pump. It is not a do it your self job unless you has access to a HVAC vacuum pump. Example: Robinair brand vacuum pump and manifold meter, hoses and R-134a refrigerant.
My advice is to let the professional to do the job.
probably a job that should be left to an experienced diesel mechanic. The injection pump will have to rebuilt to stop leaks, not something than can be done without taking it apart. Then all settings must be made while running injection pump on a test bench. I know it sounds expensive but some jobs are best left to a professional.
Changing a timing belt is a job that is better left to the professionals. On some engines if it is not done properly severe engine damage can result. Damage such as bent valves, broken pistons etc. Seriously if you are here on Fixya asking about timing belt replacement you probably do not have the mechanical expertise to properly do the job. In addition on some vehicles special tools are required for disassembly and assembly.
