Does this car have its original ECU? I ask this because this and a number of early 1990s Mitsubishi cars/truckas had isses with capaciors leaking. In truth I believe it is a matter of when and not if. As the ECU begins to fail the engine can begin to run poorly ( I speak from experience after changing both ECUs in my Montero and my son's Doge Stealth (3000GT) ) I did have an issue too with my son's Stealth running poorly, by good luck I happened to be looking under the hood with poor lighting and noticed a faint blue spark from the wiring leads by the coil after a good look I fould a wire would ground out when the engine was throttled; this caused the engine to torque slightly causing the wire to rub and finally ground out.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

4m41 2003 model starts and idle nicely but after probably 5minutes it starts to misbehave, cutting and high idling

There are a few possible reasons why your 4M41 2003 model might be cutting and idling high after 5 minutes. Clogged fuel filter: The fuel filter removes impurities from the fuel before it enters the engine. If the fuel filter is clogged, it will restrict the flow of fuel to the engine, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Bad spark plugs: Spark plugs are responsible for igniting the fuel in your engine. If the spark plugs are bad, they will not be able to ignite the fuel properly, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Low compression: Low compression can also cause a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Compression is the force that pushes the piston down in the cylinder, which is necessary for the engine to run properly. If the compression is low, it will be harder for the pistons to move, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Clogged injectors: Fuel injectors deliver fuel to the engine in a fine mist. If the injectors are clogged, they will not be able to deliver the fuel properly, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Mass air flow sensor: The mass air flow sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine. If the mass air flow sensor is faulty, it can provide the wrong information to the engine's computer, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. Throttle body: The throttle body controls the amount of air that enters the engine. If the throttle body is dirty or malfunctioning, it can restrict the flow of air to the engine, which can lead to a variety of problems, including cutting and idling high. If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is important to have your vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the root cause of the problem. Once the cause of the problem has been identified, the mechanic can recommend the necessary repairs. Here are some tips to help prevent these problems from happening in the future: Change your fuel filter according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Change your spark plugs according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Keep your engine clean and well-maintained. Avoid running your vehicle on low fuel. If you notice any problems with your vehicle's performance, have it checked out by a qualified mechanic as soon as possible.

Car running rough almost stalling on idle. Checked and replaced plugs & ignition leads. Checked for air leaks and cleaned idle filter. Cleaned fuel injectors. ? ?

What about airflow sensors? Mostly there is light carbon on it. Sensor wont give the correct reading and makes engine stall also.

1999 mitsubishi montero sport. Randomly started hesitations and low rpms in gear at idle. and highway speeds dropped rpms slightly and when let off accelerater rpms drop too quick and low. Any ideas?

Engine light on? Many things can cause this. Mass airflow sensor, throttle pos. sensor, cam sensor, idle control valve, O2 sensor, vacuum leak etc, diagnosis be great. Good luck

Heya, few problems with my non turbo mitsubishi GTO. Central locking completely stopped working, speedo flickering and battery charge showing random volt recording dropping to 12 before reaching 13.8.

These may be unrelated problems. The volt gauge is a good place to begin, because most systems on newer cars are very voltage sensitive. You need to find out if voltage from the alternator is really changing, or if the gauge is showing some other loose connection. Parts stores can usually test the alternator without removing it from the car. Start there. Locking system is likely unrelated, but I have not worked on them.

My 91 mitsubishi gto wont start and strong smell of fuel

Start by making sure you have spark to the spark plugs. If not you may have a problem with the plug wires or coil. It's also possible you're not getting gas to the engine possibly from a faulty fuel pump.
If you change the fuel pump be sure to replace the fuel filter also.

Mitsubish gto

http://stealth316.com/misc/stim.pdf is the 91 manual. there's four lines that go to the rear steerng so you may have gotten things crossed.
Here's a thread about AWS Delete. you will also have to replace mechanical parts other wise your rear wheels will steer randomly on their own.
