The 2 things are unrelated. putting a clutch in a vehicle cant stop the engine from running. you may have dislodged something or pulled awire off something , so what you will need to do ,is go back to the vehicle and go through every thing you did ,in your head.when you got under ,do so again and look at where you were working, when you got on top and under the bonnet do so again and have arealy good look in the places you worked and had your hands ,somewhere there is the answer . when you cme back to me let me know a bit about the car ,is it petrol or diesel and every thing relative to it .but changing the clutch cant stop the engine running

If there is no fire and it just started doing this when you replaced the clutch, then likely the neutral safety switch or wiring is bad. It is attached to clutch pedal and must work for car to fire. Otherwise it would be a bad crank sensor or ignition module

Greetings hughesleadfo:
Based on info given I suggest checking your gas tank for fuel. Charge or replace your battery making sure the battery posts are clean and tight. You may have a leaking fuel injector, a bad fuel pump or pressure regulator. Check your spark plugs and your coil and wire. I would buy a portable engine analyzer and read the codes and make the repairs. Good Luck

There is a MAP sensor to measure the air pressure in the manifold. If it doesn't sense a pressure the ECU think it is not turn then give no fuel so it didn't start. Just unplug the electric connection form the MAP sensor, then start the engine. If the engine turns on, replace the MAP sensor. If the truck ran before it sounds as if a wire was not hooked up or pinched when doing the clutch. This happens at times to everyone including mechanics. Check in the area of the starter that is where the problems occur most often. If the wires are okay check the fuses using a test light to be sure the fuse does not have a hair line break which you can not see. Just take your time if you get mad or aggravated walk away and take a break, that way you can solve the problem. If you can install a clutch this is just a pain but you can do it. Good Luck!

I have put a clutch in my 1995 dodge dakota and now it will not start has no fire.

check that the neutral safety switch is connected properly and connected. You can also use an ohmmeter to determine if switch is good or not. Make sure all wires and vacuum hoses are connected properly

1995 dodge dakota 2.5 motor has no power from a stop and when you put acc. to the floor you get popping therough throttle body any ideas ??????

you have a dead cylinder. start by pulling off spark plug wires one at a time to hear if the motor changes rpm if it does put that wire back then do this to the rest until it doesnt make a change in the rpm. then u will have to pull that spark plug to see if its firing. whats happening is when the fuel gets put into the cylinder its not igniting and causes the back fire through the throttlebody. fixes put spark plug into wire and lay on block then have someone turn over car to see if theres a spark make sure plug is touching ground but dont touch when cranking it WILL shock not bad

Blower motor in 1993 dodge dakota

u must have knocked the vacuum hose off when u changed the motor, that (vacuum) is what moves the air to the different outlets, the vacuum comes from the engine and enters the cab on the passenger side..
