I looked in my repair manual and the camshaft and crankshaft position sensor is one unit. Now it is a very pricy item and to make sure that it is the right item. This is the part number that is on mine tti4002z now all I need is to find the one that matchs my part.

i just check on that web site car-parts.com and there is a few junk yard that have those cars and motors and should have the sensor. that sire is linked to junk yards throughout the whole country. so you may get luck there but will need to wait until tomorrow to call!

i didn't see you already tried napa until i looked at the question the second time. just the way this site is setup i guess! soory for the info you already had. but that web site for the junk yards i am sure will get you what you need but it will be used! good luck man.

i just checked the schematic and i come up with a 4 wire sensor. one power one ground and two signal wires to computer. they way the sensor it designed it looks like there can't be a fifth wire. maybe the fifth wire on your is an extra ground? can you give me the color wires you have and where they go? into the sensors and where they go in the car?

hey man if you are getting the same thing from every where then there is something a miss and need to recheck why your have 5 pin. like i said last night the way the system is design it looks like it only can have 4 wires and your fifth wire may be an extra ground. did you take your apart to see how many wire are used?

Hi,

The same part is not available anywhere. The best option would be junkyard and look, if you could the same part. Unless you could try some other substitute. I have checked almost all known Auto Spare Part Websites starting from Autozone to ReoairPal. They do have Crankshaft Sensor but not Camshaft Sensor,

I have only successful pulling up one link :-

http://streetrays.com/store/index.php?product_id=31571&target=products

This would be for Eclipse Talon Turbo.

Most of the companies, do have the Camshaft for Models after 95.

Let me know, if need further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Do accept the solution, if 100% satisfied.

If you are sure, cam shaft and crank shaft is same unit, i have a place where you could purchase that. It is :-

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Crankshaf...

    It is available right now.

    Go ahead and purchase it.

    Thanks!!

I believe Duralast makes an aftermarket part for this, though it's still manufactured by Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi part number is MD121786, which should be the equivalent part. Though no matter where you get the part, if you order it new, it'll cost anywhere from $450-$700 depending on where you order it from. Though you may have luck check auto salvage yards for this part. You can look for any turbo-engine from a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, or Plymouth Laser for this equivalent part.

Good luck!

Your post just asked where could you find this part,it didn`t say anything about a used one,the car you have won`t be easy to find, used, and if you find a used one,how long will it last?and how many times will you have to go threw replacing it,if they have another one,and give it more than 30days.I am so sorry,I thought I ansewred your queston, except,I didn`t know you were looking for a new one.Maybe online, type in the year make and model and that it is a turbo.

napa auto parts, about $724.00,I hope this asewers your queston,If so please let us know, thank you.going to a used dealer is a good idea, but you need to know, that the part in question, would not be in real good shape, because,of weather and such.On line would be an option to look at.Type in the year make and model, and turbo of course, and u might come across a used one somewhere. There would be a large demand on this part, because there are not to many like it,so chances of finding a aftemarket, would be hard to do.

You can order this part from Auto Zone, O'Reilley's or Car quest. An Engine Rebuild shop might actually have it on hand. Because of the importance of it I wouldn't try one from a Junkyard. You can also find a few places on line that you can order it from.

I'm showing a crankshaft position sensor P/N MD121786 with a price tag of $754.00.
I use Mitchell on demand and it's not showing a cam position sensor for the 1990 Eagle Talon TSi only the crankshaft position sensor, I also checked with two aftermarkets parts suppliers and neither had a listing for the crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor.

What you have is a faulty TPS-throttle position sensor, they are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. You can find it on the throttle body of your fuel injection system, just follow the air intake hose from the box toward the engine, and it will be right off the throttle body. It is usually connected with a couple of screws/bolts, and has a plug in.

I hope this helps? Are you missing anything else? Engine cranking you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse? Any applicable trouble codes? Battery has a full charge? See load side of mfi relay, that line with arrow head, with key on, good voltage at upper wire? If so, if you use a jumper wire between proper wire colors, the pump should run.
