Not-too-loud roar sounding

If it isn't the tire and it changes when you turn, I would suspect the wheel bearings.

As you know your Toyota is front wheel drive. Have your CV axel checked out.

I had the same problem with my 2007 RX350. Had the tires replaced under warranty because of this roaring noise and still had the same problem. Replaced the original equipment brand tires with a set of new michelins and the noise went away. This was 10,000 miles ago.

First your cluth problem most possible cause is your trow out bearing, and second snow tires get louder with speed thats normal,

Chances are that your wheel bearing has gone bad and will need to be replaced. Auto Zone will have the part and tools you'll need to replace the wheel bearing with step by step instructions for you to get the job done. 3 suggestions for you, you may need to check the tire pressure, get a tire alligment done, or you have a bad wheel bearing, usally a bad wheel bearing make's a loud roaring sound going down the road. I hope I have helped you.

That's indicative of a wheel bearing, which is why you were told to change that out. However, it's also possible that the carrier bearings in the differential (where the drive axles attach) have gone bad. That happened to me on my 300ZX several years ago, and I had to replace the diff bearings. I would have them checked out somewhere other than a dealer (you'll probably get a better price from an independent shop).

As a sidenote, to be sure it wasn't a wheel bearing, if you hear it quiet down in a turn one way but get louder in a turn the opposite way, it's likely the wheel bearing. If you turn left at speed and it gets louder, then it's the right bearing (since you're loading up that side of the car). If it gets quieter in a right turn, it's the right side (you're unloading that side of the car and not putting as much weight on it, so it doesn't drag as badly). See if you get that symptom just to be sure that the wrong side front wheel bearing wasn't changed.
