Mine worked intermittently then quit. The motor works when you put power to it so it's not the motor. I repalced the blower resistor, at a cost of almost $60.00 and that wasnt' it. When I claim a ground wire onto the wiring harness the blower blows at full blast.Mine worked intermittently then quit. The motor works when you put power to it so it's not the motor. Replace the blower motor. You can pick these up at any automotive store for about 20-30 bucks. It's located in the heater box and only takes about fifteen min. to replace. It is only one wire and about 5 screws and out it comes
Have you checked the earth? You may find current is going to earth via the fans. Find the earth for the heater and make sure it is earthing really well. Hope this helps.
If I understand your problem, your heat works, but no A/C. It sounds like the blend door motor is not moving the door to the cool position. This could be caused by a bad blend door motor, or a bad interior temperature sensor. Because you said you heard a banging noise, it sounds like the blend door is stuck. The interior temp sensor would make no noise.
1. This could be because the fan motor is not workin. Check the fuse and check to see if you are getting power to the fan motor. If these checks are ok, then I would suspect the fan motor.
2. This will most likely be the drive belt that runs the alternator that either needs adjusting or replacing.
3. You will need to check your ignition timing.
