I have another view to save time. On my Intrepide 2000, i cut the stell pipe one inch under the bleeder and loose the top plastic intake and remove the bleeder. I put the new bleeder and add a rubber hose with 2 clips on the stell pipe. All that job in 45 min and still ok from that time. sylvain232@htm

Would air in the linez of my 04 doge intrepid make i over heat

Hi David, I'm glad to help. Anytime a radiator, water pump, head gasket or any thing to do with the cooling system is replaced it will have air trapped in the system. Here's how to fix it. Loosen the bleeder screw near the thremostat housing and fill the coolant bottle until you see coolant running out of the bleeder. Once the coolant is running out of the bleeder, start the engine and let it bleed some more until all the air is out of the system. Hope this helps and have an awesome day David.

What would make coolant come out of top of bleeder valve on water housing on a dodge intrepid 2001 2.7

The same thing happene to me. i just replaced bleeder valve with a bolt. Take your old bleeder valve to hardware or auto parts store to see which type of threading you should get first. Goodluck.

How to install a coolant air bleeder ,in a donge intrepid 2000

I am assuming you are talking about the cooling system of your motor. You would put the bleeder which is a t shaped connector into your heater hose. This bleeder should have a cap on thetop to let air out of it.

I just changed a water pump on my 97 dodge intrepid, put everything back together, works fine but my cooling fans wont come on. I turned on A/C and they still dont come on, all wiring is hooked back up,...

You need to go through the proper coolant system bleeding procedure.. There is a bleeder valve in the front center of the intake manifold. You must fill the system, run the car with the heat on until the thermostat opens, top off the coolant and open the bleeder until coolant a steady stream comes out without any air bubbles. Close bleeder, top off coolant, and replace radiator cap. Run car until fan cycles twice on its own.

Thats a Dealer part only (if its the Coolant Bleeder). Last I checked they DO NOT manufacture the Bleeder "Block" (on which the valve originally resides on the stock bleeder). The new OEM product consists of the block (w/o bleeder valve) and your top coolant piping (which now is manufactured with the beleder valve on it - [on the piping itself]) that runs to the upper radiator hose towards the front of the engine and through the "V" of the block. Count on taking a whole day executing this. But can be done with all DIY hand tools. You will need to disconnect any and all sensors/lines in the way of the intake manifold, as it will have to be taken off while you replace the assembly as a result of Chrysler's wonderful new design for thier bleeder valves for the 2nd gen Intrepids. (Stupid Chrysler)
