This is tough, two things I can think of, the first is the coil, if it is not ground good there wont be a good spark or a defective coil,,,, but i am leaning more to it being the timing chain jumped a cog,,, the computer would start the engine advansed but as the engine warmed it would ****** the spark ,,, after 5-10 min. it would quit,, this I would if it si a higher milage car. My 87 crown vic has the exact same problem. ive thought long and hard for many a night and finally came up with a solution. i'm thinking the fuel pump relay is bad but im not sure. any suggestions?

defective elrctrical part from napa, no diag from industry standards. pickups in dist.good luck and no elec parts from napa.
defective napa electrical parts. cannot diag with industry standards. dist pickups, man defect. good luck. car quest from now on.
