Look in the interior fuse block. It is located on the drivers side of the center counsel, just to the right or where our right leg would be. You will need to remove the trim panel. The fuses will be labeled on the inside of the panel.

Check the wires from the O2 sensors for worn insulation and bare spots. They are probably rubbing on the body somewhere and sending false signals to the computer. Hope this helps.
Check to make sure the button on the trunk latch is turned from manual unlock...they made that feature so only the key will work to open the trunk that way if someone breaks in the front of your car they can't hit the trunk release and get into the trunk...may be the same thing for your remote. Hope that helps.

Sounds like a timing belt,, open the oil cap and look in there with a flash light,,
have someone turn the key if you see nothing moving in there then its the timing belt,,
