My husband keeps jumping his car with my car every morning... will this eventually destroy my battery also? How many times can a battery be jumped before the battery doing the jumping will also have problems?
As long as the battery in your vehicle is never discharge to the point that it needs to be jumped, probably not any appreciable impact to your batteries life.
In theory, if the engine is running on your vehicle, your alternator is probably taking a large part of the load to start his car. Your alternator/voltage regulator may take a bigger hit than your battery.
If you do not drive during the night for long spells, and your husbands keeps doing the jump start, when your battery is low in charge, the the possibility of damaged plates in the battery is very high. Also as the battery ages, the battery life will definitely be affected requiring battery replacement sooner than usual....sodeep
