i buy spare AC COMPRESSOR. electrical connector at salvage yard or dealership connect long jumper wires to the AC COMPRESSOR electrical connector.i hot wire it. let dealership do the job they can use scanner energize AC compressor relay and pressure sensor to turn on AC COMPRESSOR clutch.hot wiring could chance shorting out something.

So the noise could be a belt tensioner or something involving the ac compressor pulley.

i would try www.car-part.com its a nationwide junk yard inventory site theres some great deals there for domestic cars.try to replace the wire conectors at the compressor maybe the freon shorted them out.

sorry never had one apart sao i cant finger anything in particular,remove any coversa and put head under and have a look,could be a faulty climatic computer or just a rubber pipe come off eoither on teh inlet manifold or on a flap operating mechanism

Ac don't work

check a/c compressor by pulling compressor relay and jumping relay switch if cluch engadges you have a short if not
replace compressor.
