Recently had a computer put in and programmed at dealership.nOW THE AC OR HEATER WANT WORK can short compressor out it come on..got infomation on this

THE DEFROST SETTING CALLS FORE THE AC COMPRESSOR TO ENGAGE TO DRY THE HUMIDITY. THE CAR IS STALLING PERHAPS BECAUSE OF THE LOAD PUT UPON THE ENGINE BY THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE AC COMPRESSOR. THE COMPRESSOR MAY BE LOCKED UP

Can you be a little more specific? Did the fuse blow again? All the lights on the dash are out?

i buy spare AC COMPRESSOR. electrical connector at salvage yard or dealership connect long jumper wires to the AC COMPRESSOR electrical connector.i hot wire it. let dealership do the job they can use scanner energize AC compressor relay and pressure sensor to turn on AC COMPRESSOR clutch.hot wiring could chance shorting out something.

The ac compressor runs in defrost mode.
So the noise could be a belt tensioner or something involving the ac compressor pulley.

A mechanic would unplug the blower motor and check the circuit for shorts to ground.

Probably short on AC gas , as if law on AC gas the compressor would not work as a compressor protection mode. Check if AC gas is low and pressure test for leaks

i would try www.car-part.com its a nationwide junk yard inventory site theres some great deals there for domestic cars.try to replace the wire conectors at the compressor maybe the freon shorted them out.

sorry never had one apart sao i cant finger anything in particular,remove any coversa and put head under and have a look,could be a faulty climatic computer or just a rubber pipe come off eoither on teh inlet manifold or on a flap operating mechanism

check a/c compressor by pulling compressor relay and jumping relay switch if cluch engadges you have a short if not
replace compressor.
