i tried to snap off the cover of the fuse box under the driverside dash located in the bottom left side of the front dash board. one side snapped off easily, but the other side was not budging. How do i undo the latch?
once i undo the latch is the cig fuse located there? if so what is the fuse number? i couldn't find the correct fuse it in the box located under the hood on the driver side.
some cars need key on to turn on cig lighter but if thats not the case, ive also seen circut breakers for cig lighters on back of cig lighter socket so check that also.
Most likely the fuel pump relay located behind the ash tray and cig. lighter tray has cracked solder points. No need to purchase a new one, simply remove the ash tray, remove the cig. lighter and bezel. Then remove the two screws holding the cig. lighter compartment and pull it from the lower left coner to remove it. Now you'll see fuses and relays, look for a white relay, pull it out and pop the cover off to expose the circut board. Examine the solder point for very finr halo cracks. simply use a solder pen to heat the point to remelt the solder. reinstall and you should be good. I was a Master Volvo Mech. for 20 years
the fuse box is under the dash panel on drivers side. Fuse is blown. You may have faulty relay as well. Change fuse first. THere could be a short in the control switches causing fuse to snap.
yeah the fuses and circut breakers are under the right side kick board( passenger side) where the floor meet the side. There should be a small door, pull it off. Just snaps in. The mini and some standard fuses are in there. If you are looking for something else more powerful fuses called maxi's are under the hood on the passenger side also. on the cover its called power dist. box pry it off and then look inside the cover for a guide to whats what. The one under the dash on the kick panel is barely readable for some things like the abs. otherwise you'll need the owners manual or a haynes book ( which really doesn't go into the fuses)
HELLO. FIRST DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR KEY. SHOULD BE ON FOR IT TO WORK.? TRY TURNING THE KEY ON AND SEE WHAT HAPPEN'S.!! IF THAT DON'T WORK TRY LOOKING IN THE FUSE BOX AND IT SHOULD BE THERE AS CIGS/LIGHTER OR CIG/SRAIDO OR LIGTHER/RAIDO OR CIGS/ ACC . IF YOU STILL CAN'T FIND IT THERE HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DON'T. U NEED TO GET A 12 VOLT DC TESTER. AND TEST THE LIGTHER TO SEE IF IT HAS POWER. THERE CHEP. AT RAIDO SHACK. GIVE IT A TRY . REMBER TO TRY IT WITH THE KEY ON THEN WITH THE KEY OFF. WELL "GOOD LUCK" LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELP'S
