Reset bcm?

Hi Jan, What type of problem is you vehicle having ? Me personally I go by what Buick service information tells you to do ,use a factory or equivalent scan tool ! I know you don't have $ 6,000 to buy one . Some people on here will tell you to disconnect the battery cables an let it sit over night or 30 minutes ,what ever ! If there is a problem in the BCM or some circuit it controls , if it's not fixed it's going to do the same thing right away or shortly there after . This is not like turning off you home computer to reset it, doesn't work like that ! So if you tell us why you think you need to reset the BCM we can help !

How do I change body control module on 2001 ford taurus

The BCM is located behind the glove box.Open Glove box, empty contents, grab sides of box and push inward a little bit and continue to open door. Once that's done there are 2 modules back there, #1 is ECM #2 is BCM, The BCM has a yellow clip on it and I think 5 connectors, make sure you mark down the location of where the connectors go for reassembly. Whatever you are doing make sure your BCM is the culprit because the BCM rarely ever goes bad on these cars.

I have tried everything to reset my anti theft alarm on my 01suburban and all of my interior lights,headlights and door chime Are not working. Could someone please help me!

Check all the fuse labeled BCM. Everything you mentioned runs for the BCM, to include the security. Next I would check for power at the BCM plugs(you would need a pinout) There are 2 or 3 of them. If you have power, then your looking at replacing the BCM.

Bcm 1994 gmc safari

to find it resides to the left of the steering column, right above your left foot. There is a bump in the fuzzy trim panel that covers the under dash area that gives clearance to the BCM

Transmission only goes into 1st and reverse

You will need to have the transmission rebuilt or replaced....this is common on the GMs...had to have the same done on my Safari at 125K....the upper bands (most used) goes first.....1st gear is only used for taking off thus has less wear. Good luck.

How do i reset service light on 2001 pontiac aztek?

Before you re-set it, take the car to AutoZone or other similar store to read the code. That way, you know why the service light came on.
Then AutoZone can re-set it for you (all free)!

== or ==

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery for 10 minutes, or more.
When you re-connect the battery cable, the service light will have benn reset. But it will turn back on eventually.

Hope this helps!
