Where is the fuel pump relay switch on a 1988 mercury grand marquis

The fuel pump relay is in the powerbox on the drivers side of the car. It can be in a relay trio which is hung behind the powerbox and has a slide out access to the relays inside or it can be inside the big powerbox. Usually the cover has the relay name and position embedded in the plastic.

Sounds like a bad connection between the two points.
It may be easier to run a new wire than to tear the harness and connectors apart.

did you look in trunk yo see if there is a fuel cut off switch may be on driversidr behind the carpet cover

All vehicles that have fuel injection,that would
be, most vehicles from 1985 on,the fuel pump
is in the gas tank.

This relay is almost always in the engine compartment relay box. If you don't see it there, please get back to me and I'll look it up.

The Relay - Fuel Pump is located: Under hood, driver side, front side of wheelwell, mounted in relay block.

Up under dash panel on passenger side.

check the fuse .if the fuel pump was bad you blew the fuse . there is a inertia switch in the trunk or under the dash you could check . push the red button to reset relay should be under the hood in the fuse box check your book if you have one.

The fuel pump relay is under the hood in the MAXI fuse box, it is a black box with a huge wiring bundle comming out of it.
