Both my turn signals stopped working. First they would work for a while then shut off and then they slowly both stopped working.

I would first check the fuses, the fuse diagram should be on the fuse box cover/lid or in the owners manual. If the fuses are found to be ok then I would suspect a short ( I hope not ) but it could be. you'll then need to back track your signal wires back from the trunk to the dash, looking for a short.

First thing is to check the flasher, and fuses start there.

Turn signals and flashers

The flasher itself is toast. It’s mounted in the in cab fuse box. Looks like a small cylinder, usually silver metal or black plastic. Pop over to a parts store, usually about 5 bucks.

Turn Signal/ High Beam Lights/ Driver Window/ Horn suddenly not working! Help!

These are just ideas, but In my simple attempt....start with checking, or have someone check every fuse in the fuse box. Another thought is that the turn signal indicator arm that controls blinkers, high beams has finally gave out. And when it did, it might have shorted out the horn. Being a 1993, it has probably seen some usage. Does the cigarette lighter work?? Also check the fuse in the fuse box that controls the horn, because in some of my experiences, the cigarette lighter and the horn are sometimes on the same fuse.

When you switch to defrost or the air conditioner, the vehicle shuts down completely

Does it shut off, like the electrical system shuts off and the engine slowly stops (the same as when you turn off the ignition)? Or does it stop abruptly and with a noise, like a squeal or thunk? If it is the former, then it is a short (or bad ground) in your air conditioning system. If it is the latter, then, yes, it could be the compressor bearings are seized.

I have a ticking like a blinker sound ticking inside my vehicle.. it sounds like a continuous blinker going. All my out side lights flashers blinkers are working .What could this be?

look for the hazzard /4 ways switch. see if this is where this ticking is coming from. if so slowly move the turn signal switch . if it stops or changes, you have a bad turn signal switch. the hazzard and the turn signals operate through the hazzard switch..it has a built in relay.hope this was helpful

Turn signal lights stop working. Neither the right or left turn signal work. Heard a noise before it stop working. The flashing started slowing down and stop blinking. Now it doesn't work at all. What

most likely its the turn signal relay. which is under the hood. in the fuse box. also make sure ur running lights are working if they are connected to the turn signal.

Turning Signals keep blowing and signals cancel cruise control.

Sounds to me that the turn signal switch is bad and will have to be replaced. If you could wiggel it around and get them to work tells me that is wear the problem is.

2000 ford windstar, directionals both not working, hazards work f

turn signal flasher module or turn signal switch. I usuall try to wiggle teh column switch or move it slowly up and down, back and forth to help determine if it has a bad contact. if i cant get a failure (or turn signal) that way I begin the testing at the base of the column. the flasher module is a common failure on those and isnt unreasonably priced. if i had no diagnostic procedure i would try that first. oh yea, try turning the hazards on and off rapidly several times. the signal goes through the four way switch.
