2003 Daewoo Lacetti has its air bag warning light staying on

Sounds like you have a main fuse blown (Power to the car) It is probably a 30 amp or 40 amp larger in size than a typical fuse. Try locating it under the hood in the plastic relay box. (usually close to battery on the fender well.

Just as a matter of interest, do you know with vehicles fitted with air bags, it is very inadvisable to smoke or hold any sharp object while driving. I had this. The issue was resolved by the Jaguar Main Dealer by recalibrating the passenger seat weight sensor. The system is designed so that the passenger air-bag is disabled within a certain weight band detected on the seat (to protect babies in carry-chairs).

The air bag light will remain illuminated if a fault has been detected in the air bag system.
The onboard computer will need to be interfaced with diagnostic equipment to read the fault.
This is also the only way to reset the light.

The above problem could not be entered completly on Fixya, because it was not possible to select the type of my car which is a Daewoo Lacetti. So in order to get my problem displayed I had to choose another car type.
So please disregard my issue. I will solve this problem other way.

For your oil lamp, I will suggest you quickly attend to this as it may be telling you that there is not enough pressure in the system as the light will only turn off when there is enough pressure in the lubrication system. It might be a foulty oil pressure switch.
For your air bag, it might be just the passenger air bag module which hasn't been reconnected or a disconnected loom?
I'll suggest you bring it back to the electrician who's installed your A/C and let them fix it.

Would seem strange that there would be no codes present if the light is constantly on. While the light is the air bags are disabled, so they will not deploy in an accident. I recommend taking it to a Dodge dealer for diagnosis and repair. If cost is an issue, tell them you just want a code test and advise on possible causes. They may have seen the problem before, and will usually be the quickest at diagnosis and repair.

is this van new for you ? is it a status light letting you know that the airbag is loaded and ready for anypassenger that you have in your van ? do you have a key that you can turn it off in most vans there is an option to turn air bag on or off depending on size or opinion of passenger . im thinking that if its a status light its okay to be on letting you know its ready for opperation . take a look at your owners manual airbag section . and if it does turn out to be a warning malfunction indicator please dont waste time take it to your local dealer and have it checked out .hope this information helps good luck
