Try flooding out the ignition switch with WD40 and the tube nozzle to clean it. It sounds like the contacts are dirty.
As it is fine with the engine off, there is a possibility that the Body Control Module is involved with the issue. A good auto electrician could diagnose.
You can't. The alarm and more importantly the immobilizer is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do, steal the car without keys. It is all controlled via the ECM, the computer and uses a transponder in the key and The receiver in the steering column talk to the ECM.
Take your registration document down to your local dealership and get 2 keys keys made. Then reset the system.
Try spraying a little WD40 into the ignition . Make sure tension is off the steering wheel. Turn steering wheel back and forth while trying to remove key.
Good Luck!

Turn your ignition key on and off three times then on the fourth time just leave it on and watch where the millage numbers are it will show you the error codes.
Listen for the fuel pump when you first turn on the key to the run position. If you hear it then spray a small amount of starting fluid in air intake while someone tries to start it if the engine fires then most likely a Crank Position Sensor. The CPS controls your injectors.
Hi and welcome to FixYa! You will need to steer the wheel to the left a little before turning the key. If it still doesn't work, try to spray WD40 on the ignition keyhole. This will loosen the mechanism and can resolve the problem.
Hope you find this information helpful and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
Go buy some WD40 and spray it inside the ignition and while your doing that try and move the steering wheel side to side and try pulling out the key. You might want a extra person to help you let then turn the wheel while your pulling on the key but first spray WD40 in there it wont hurt it plus it lubricates the key and ignition trust me this works I have done this tons of times. PS you can buy WD40 at any auto parts store or even at a Wal-Mart.
Could be a few things.. But try to eliminate the easiest & least costly first..
Spray some wd40 into the key hole..
Push key in & out several times & do not try to turn it yet..
Repeat a few times - then try to turn it..
Sometimes the key tumblers get dirty & sticky..
If that dose not help - it could be the ignition switch needs to be replaced..
