Are you using the original key?
Sometimes the valet key, which is the key that comes new in the glove compartment, can have issues with its 'chip' as it sits in a generic plastic housing, while the original 'chip' is fused into the key.
Try using both keys if you have them, see if 1 way works, flip it 180 degrees and try the other way.
If you do not have the original key, you may need to get your key code reprogrammed, which is a dealer only type job.
An indicator that the key is the issue, is if the anti-theft light (red light that looks like a car with a key in it) will flas or stay on, while you are trying to start it. This light should turn off once you put the key in the ignition.
The ignition coils are a very common problem of shorting out over time on the Nissans.
I would go to a local shop to have the coils checked and the fuel pump pressure checked.
Good Luck
