Put a K&N Performance Cold Air intake into my 2005 Dodge Neon SXT, 0441 code comes up?

Hi there:
DTC P0441 - Evap. Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow
Possible causes: poor/loose connection, faulty purge control solenoid valve (PCSV), faulty PCM.

Check for loose electrical connector and for loose or broke vacuum hose to it. If ok, you will need a voltmeter and vacuum gauge to test it. If fails test, replace it, if ok, then likely a faulty pcm. Most of the time it is either a bad vacuum hose to it or faulty PCSV.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

2005 dodge neon 2.0. Check engine light reads 0441 leak in evap system also has poor idle and occasionally will not start. Replaced plugs and wires. When car doesn't start I have taken the IAC valve off...

The P0441 shouldn't cause a no start it is indicating there is a problem in the evap system related to the EVAP solenoid, EVAP solenoid vacuum supply or the NVLD switch which is a switch that vents the tank at proper times. I would do a fuel pressure check if it starts at times with carb cleaner. there may be a small leak in the evap system that a qualified shop with a smoke machine should be able to check out, but that code shouldn't be the cause of your no start. When first started it needs the proper fuel pressure and will normally run fine once it's started until the pump degrades to a spot that it just won't run correctly any more. the computer on today's cars can compensate for a lot of things to a certain point till they just won't run anymore.

Error code 0441

this is what the code is P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. what this most likely means is the area which contains and stores vapor emissions from you fuel tank and carburetor (if equipped) could be blocked or is in operative. the vapors are drawn into the engine and burned once you start your vehicle. I hope this helps!
