Yes the gauges are on a fuse marked gauges. I think that fuse is in the interior box, could be in the glove compartment, under the instrument panel, or on either end of the dash where the door closes. Your owner's manual should help you there.
Its your instrument cluster GM has a recall on the instrument cluster but your vehicle can't be over 7yrs. old and can't have over 70,000 miles on it.If qualify take it to your GM dealership it won't cost nothing..
Since you just bought the car, I thought that you might not be aware of the instrument lighting control. I apologize if you know this: The dial on the dashboard to the left of the instrument panel controls the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Turn the dial to adjust the brightness. To reduce glare at night, the fuel and temperature gauges dim when you turn on the parking lights or headlights. You then adjust their brightness when you adjust the instrument panel brightness. Turn the dial up as far as it will go to return the fuel and temperature gauges to their daytime brightness.
