How does it start when cold? When warm, does the engine at least turn over or does it not do anything?

It will be under the dash on the drivers side, when looking down there if you turn the key on the engine light should come on and when it's goes off you will hear a click, that's the relay.Good luck, hope this was very helpful.

The thermostat switch need to be check and change.

check fuses or see if something might have got jamed in the track and also try movin the part where the seat belt moves back and forth to see if the motor is dying

you say stopped running steering locked up the steering lock is mechanical and has nothing to do with the actually running of the engine so i am presumming that the car was idling stalled on its own and the steering as you tried to restart it locked or the steering won,t turn it won,t if the engine s not running as it is helped by the power steering pump which doesn,t work unless then engines running but if the steering has just locked up then you won,t be able to turn the steering in which case you,ll need a new steering lock not that big a job yates210456
