To get the cv joint axle off on the 98 corolla, you have to remove the wheel, shock/strut, and control arm, pop it out of the transmission, and replace, i think there is a cover that you might have to take off first before you get to the cv, its been about 6 months since i replaced mine, sorry... but good luck and god bless, Please Rate me!

Need to replace drivers side mirror assembly, could use a diagram or instructions.

there is probably a small cover on the 'back' part of the mmirror housing, by the corner front part of the window/door=pry it back, it will expose small bolts/screws that hold the housing to the door.

I have a chrysler lhs 1994 with a bad front wheel bearing and i need instruction on repair

These are the steps you need to follow for this procedure if you have the proper tools.
  1. Remove front caliper assembly and rotor from the steering knuckle as outlined under "Caliper, Replace" in the "Disc Brake" unit repair section.
  2. Remove hub and bearing to stub axle retaining nut.
  3. Disconnect hub bolts then remove hub and bearing assembly from steering knuckle by sliding it straight off end of stub axle. If metal seal on hub and bearing assembly is seized to steering knuckle and becomes dislodged on hub and bearing assembly during removal, or when removing hub and bearing, the finger disc on hub becomes damaged, hub and bearing assembly must be replaced.
  4. If hub and bearing will not slide out of knuckle, insert a prybar between hub and steering knuckle and gently pry hub and bearing from knuckle.
  5. Tighten stub shaft nut, lower vehicle and with brakes applied, torque stub shaft nut to 70 - 90 ft. lbs.

1992 Toyota Corolla CV Joint

You can pick up an entire re manufactured axle assembly at your local auto parts store. In order to replace the assembly you will need to disconnect the tie rod end and the ball joint. Remove the spindle nut. Push the axle stub out of the hub. Now with a suitable container under the axle to catch spilled fluid pry the axle from the transmission housing. Install is the reverse of removal. For more detailed instructions and diagrams go to www.autozone.com vehicle repair guides.

Right Front Hub Noise- 1997 Neon

you need to buy the whole assembly. i know what you mean. I have a '68 coronet that still has the origional wheel bearings in it, and now they don't last 5 years. ( and they wonder why they're all gone broke)
No, it shouldn't blow up, but it will keep getting worse, and it probably does affect your mileage, somewhat.
