Power Seat Control does not move the seat front or back

I'd probably have to remove seat and check mechanism. I don't know if you can check seat mechanism w/o removing seat from vehicle? Maybe that one side jumped the rail?

check switch for proper operation //check motor control for power ,connections and wires are not damaged or disconnected===check seat track for debris or something stuck

What I did ,took off seat from scrap yard.

Most Ford products are designed so the seat belt latch by the center console moves with the seat. The bottom of the latch rides on the seat rail, and with time sometimes it builds up a little play on the rail. As the seat moves forward or back, the seat belt guide often tilts forward or back, just a bit, on the rail, and gets stuck. So you can move forward or back just a bit, but then it jams and you can hear the motor, but can go no further.

The long term fix is to remove the seat, disassemble the seat belt guide and rail, and usually replace some parts.

But the short term solution is often to simply hold on to the seat belt latch and rock it forward and away from the seat as you try to go forward or back. Or, sometimes it works best to rock it backwards and away from the seat as you try to move forward or back. It all depends on which way it is binding.

There's no guarantee that it won't jam again if you move it all the way back or forward, but once you find the right position to hold the seat latch in while moving the seat, you should be able to re-adjust it where you need it to be.

The power seat in the truck has 3 motors, one of them is not working, the most common cause of this is the power seat switch is defective, it is often the forward and reverse seat positioning switch that fails because it is the one that is most used. If the switch checks ok then you will need to replace the the power seat track assembly, Ford does not sell any parts for the track, it is only available as one complete unit, I know this because i retired form a Ford dealer. one or two things bad motor or bad switch

I had the same problem some one on one of the web-sites solved his problem by banging on the track rail in the front while pushing the seat button back after a good few bangs it unjamed and works great now .I feel like I saved at least $1500 by dealer rates.
