Thickness of brake disks for Suzuki Ignis Sport 109 HP, 2004

Dear Sir, I have Suzuki Ignis Sport 109 HP, 3 door, produced in 2004. What is the minimum thickness of front and rear brake disks? How doyou describe parameters of new disks, if they have to be replaced?
With warm regards,

Generally you do not want to let them wear anymore than 1/16 of an inch either inner or outer pad. The inner pad will wear a little faster than the outer, but you will want to go by which ever one is thinner. As far as the parameters of new disk, they will have a minimum thickness per DOT standards. The minimum thickness is usually stamped on the disk (rotor), if it is not you can get this info from your local repair shop, or auto supply shop.

What is the min thicknees on a brake shoe in inchs

brake shoe thickness is measured in millimeters or inches, with the majority measured in millimeters. The minimum thickness a brake shoe should have will vary by manufacturer. However, between 2 and 3 millimeters is generally considered the minimum allowed thickness. Brake shoe thickness can be measured by removing the wheel and brake drum, and measuring the thickness of the brake shoe through the rivet holes.

I have "Check your brake pads" light on. I've called the dealer a they said that a standard brake service includes replacing pads AND the rotors. Is this normal?I've never changed the rotors (disks)...

It always makes a better job to replace both, as you can imagine. Whether they stay or not is based on Minimum thickness, and is there enough material left to meet thickness spec, after truning.

Another thing that is different, from time to time is the disks can often be replaced with new, for less than / or close to the truning charge...in this case, no brainer, new disks...
