Where is the fuse for the radio located I do not have a book for my 2005 toyota carolla

The Blade is an updated Auris. Here are all the fuses and relays. The radio fuse is normally an inline fuse on the radio live wire.

should be on the inside of the car on the drivers side should be a panel come out for access

Sometimes its on the back of the radio its self, check the fuse box first there is a legend on the back of the fuse cover

It should be the same fuse as for the radio

The radio and lighter are on the same cig lighter fuse located in the fuse box at the left lower dash, it may be under a plastic cover, the fuse locations are marked on the cover.

sorry to say , get a voltmeter and go through the wiring starting at the fuse box and follow on from there, that includes the ground circuits, its time consuming but revesing polarity can cause untold damage

Does it blow the new fuses immediately? If so, the lighter socket is the more probable short circuit location--remove the center wire from the back of the socket and recheck. If no help, remove the power wire at the radio and recheck again. If neither helps, then there is the possibility of a wire short in the wiring harness or under the fuse panel. If the fuses didn't blow, then look for a burned/loose connection under the fuse panel. Did you smell anything burning or getting hot while trying the fuses? There would be no reason to include a circuit breaker in series with a fuse for protection. Good luck!
