Engine light on 2002 Explorer. engine code P1400 . What is differental press feedback EGR circuit low input? We replaced EGR valve, cleared the code and drove car 2 miles and light came back on.
Re: engine light on 2002 Explorer. engine code P1400
This may have to do with a bad wiring. Check all the wiring associated with EGR operation. Whenever a computer throws a code about high or low circuit voltage, it is usually attributed to abnormal wiring.

I understand what the valve does, but
don't know exactly where to have you look
for it, or if it really failed without testing it
If you want to chance just replacing it, like
everyone seems to do,follow the vacuum
hoses away from the EGR Valve, and you should
find a small sensor in the vauum hoses with
a wire connector on it.
code p1400 is a DPF EGR sensor CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE detected. most likely is a problem with the wiring to the egr or dpfe sensor. the pinpoint tests for code p1400 instruct you to test all wiring before replaceing the egr or dpfe sensor

The sensor for the EGR Valve position is not functioning correctly.
p 1401 is a code for differential pressure feedback egr circuit high input there is a small square sensor on the engine with a vacuum line here is some info Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System Monitor” Differential Pressure Feedback EGR
The Differential Pressure Feedback EGR System Monitor is an on-board
strategy designed to test the integrity and flow characteristics of the
EGR system. The monitor is activated during EGR system operation and
after certain base engine conditions are satisfied. Input from the ECT,
IAT, TP and CKP sensors is required to activate the EGR System Monitor.
Once activated, the EGR System Monitor will perform each of the tests
described below during the engine modes and conditions indicated. Some
of the EGR System Monitor tests are also performed during on demand
self-test.
The Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor and circuit are
continuously tested for opens and shorts. The monitor looks for the
Differential Pressure Feedback EGR circuit voltage to exceed the maximum
or minimum allowable limits.
The DTCs associated with this test are DTCs P1400 and P1401.
The EGR Vacuum Regulator solenoid is continuously tested for opens and
shorts. The monitor looks for an EGR Vacuum Regulator circuit voltage
that is inconsistent with the EGR Vacuum Regulator circuit commanded
output state.
The DPFE sensor is usually not hard to
change. There are 2 small rubber hoses that run from the EGR tube to it...
Replace DPFE sensor, reset engine fault codes. The Ford one is a good one and rockauto.com
carries Airtex. Sometimes I hear that this change always need replace EGR valve to delet all codes. Test it.
In order to give you accurate information. I need size of engine example 2.0 L 3.0L. but code P1400 means Differential Pressure feedback EGR circuit low input. Maybe your differential oil is low.
DPFE EGR Circuit Low Input". for a P1400 code . The sensor is located on the pass. side of the eng comp. back near the firewall. It sits on top of two small rubber hoses that attach to metal tubes. These tubes lead down to the EGR tube. . Good luck
