1997 RS pwr window DS.......rolls up and down

I had the same problem with the pwr window PS recently. Took it to the Chevy dealer and they replaced the window motor and said that there was a short in the window motor (cost $270). It worked fine for two weeks... Now, suddently, there is no power to neither windows, the radio nor the IP dimmer. I am guessing I have now the short on the DS motor window.

97 Accord drivers side window won't go up or down....

Window motors & regulators go bad every day. Pull your door panel, unplug the motor, if you have an ohm meter apply the leads to the leads into the motor. One will be ground the other two will raise and lower (reverse) the motor. If you show resistance between the leads the motor windings are good and the problem may be the window regulator. If you do not have an ohm meter, you can run two wires (one ground, the other hot) and test the motor by applying elec to it.

Sounds like you will need to replace the power window regulator in the driver's side door.

Passanger side window wont go down

It won't work on either the drivers button or the passenger button? If so it's the motor, if it works on one of the buttons then it the button that won't put it down. Let me know please.

1997 chevy camaro driver side window (power)

pull off the door panel and make sure the motor is turning and there is nothing blocking the window from going up or down the motor might be burnt out but the switch is still clicking the relay on and make sure you spray the gears and window wires not the electrical wire with white lithium greese

Radio cuts out windows dont work

I have the same problem with my 96 camaro. I checked the fuses box and the radio, windows and IP dimmer fuses don't have power. More likely is a short in the motor of one of the windows.
