I have a 2006 Equinox and I'm not getting any

Get the engine warm and put the interia heater on hot, with the engine idling are the heaters hot ? If not or they get warm by reving the engine id be looking at the water pump

let car run and make sure both fans are working .if not it might be over heating and burning off antifreeze this happened to my wifes car .i fixed a fan that wasn't working and this stop the smell

either it has low coolant still, an air pocket or most likely the heater core is plugged and needs to be back flushed

There are no replaceable bulbs. The repair for this condition is replacement of the HVAC control module.

I am not a mechanic but I can tell you the problem is with the blend door actuator and the blend door valve. Unfortunately the entire dash has to be removed to get to the heater case and replace the blend door. This seems to be a very common problem with the 2005 & 2006 Equinox. I just got mine out of the shop, luckily my extended warranty covered it. Research this online, there are plenty of posts about the problem.

ive seen this problem before! im betting that you have a mice problem under the hood, they usually get in through the air intake area and stay until there death arrives.look into the airfilter housing.

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox
