Re: Trying to find unloc code for Chev Astro Radio using...
These numbers are your code to unlock the radio. What you need to do is take these numbers to the dealership and they call the G.M. technical center and they give the dealership the code to unlock your radio. The only ones that can get this code is the dealership because the have to use what is called they`re dealer code number to get the unlock code.I don`t know if they will charge for this or not. When I worked at a dealership we did not charge for this service. It only takes about 5 minutes to get the unlock code.Good luck.

Depress and hold the "mode" and "safe" button at the same time until the number "1000" appears on the radio display. Release the numbers as soon as the "1000" appears.
Enter your 4 digit radio code. Use button #1 to enter first number. Use button #2 to enter second number etc... As soon as all of the numbers are entered the radio frequency will appear and the radio should be working normally.
re: 2000 Chevy astro van delco radio unlock code 682695.
Good luck and please flag if HELPFUL". Thanks!
How to Unlock a Delco Radio - Instructions
1) Obtain the six-digit dealer code - yours is above. ( this doesn't apply: Contact your local GM dealer. If you explain the situation, most will provide the code to you. If they are not willing to provide the code, contact other GM dealers until you find one that will help you
2) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position, without turning the engine over. Hold the preset buttons "2" and "3" for 10 seconds. The radio will display a three-digit code. Write this number down and then quickly press the "AM/FM" button. Three more digits will be displayed. These six numbers are the serial code for your radio.
3) Call the GM assistance hotline at 800-537-5140. Follow the prompts and select the brand of your vehicle. Enter the six-digit dealer code and then enter the six-digit radio serial code. The automated system will provide you with a four-digit code to unlock your radio.
4) With the ignition on, use the "Hour" button on your radio to input the first two numbers of the four-digit code. Use the "Minute" button to input the last two digits. Press "AM/FM" to set the code. The radio is now unlocked and ready for use.
either u have the wrong code or u r waiting to long to enter the unloc code check with ur dealer about ur code they may have given u the wrong code when u bought the car ,could have been written down wrong,or ur radio may have a problem if u give the dealer the radio id code and ur unloc code [s]he can verify if their correct good luck
the theftlock has engaged, try removing it and see if the code is written on the radio, if not try your dealer, especially if they supplied it new, or ring the supply dealer from the handbook, you have to have the code.
You can drive to the dealer and have them help you enter the code since they are alway's connecting and disconnecting battery's, The instructions are in the manual and the codes might be written in the front or back page.
If no codes were programed try 0000 and see if that works. IF the dealer wants to charge you a crazy amount, you can get your codes here on www.radio-code.com
Good luck and hope this helps.
ok your radio displays ERR , OK 3 options let it sit for an hour turned on , to reture to CODE display , or pull the radio fuse out for a minute and put it back in , returning to the CODE display , or disconnect the battery for a minute , returning to the CODE display . you got the ERR display because the code was wrong or not entered correctly , make your choice of getting the radio back to the CODE display by 1 of those 3 choices , while the radio displays CODE , use the preset buttons , if the first number of your code is 4 , then press the #1 preset button 4 time , when the first number has been input , put the 2nd number in by pressing the #2 prest button , if 2nd number of code is 8 , press the # 2 preset button 8 times till the # 8 is displayed , and so on . you see where this is giong ? when you have entered all the numbers correctly you will have you radio back . when you say you have the radio code , good luck ! were rooting for ya .
