the crank sensor is located on the back of the engine above the oil filter. remove the connector and the bolt that holds it in (only one) and remove with a twisting motion. try not to pry it because they can break off in there!!!
The crank sensor is located on the trans. bell housing.Look behind the engine where the tranny bolts to the block and on top of the bell housing just a little off center you will see the sensor which has 2 bolts mounting it in place.It has a 6in length of wire attached to it with a plug on the end.This sensor reads off the flywheel.Hope this helps.
