I just changed the spark plug wires on my 1997 Dodge 1500 with a 360. I think I got a couple wires crossed wrong on the dist. cap. Need to see a diagram or something like it to figure out where the wire problem is.
I have a 1974 Calfornia boat with a 351 waukesha it turns over but won't start the that had it before me replaced the dist cap and I think he got the spark plugs on wrong so I need to know where they go on the capI have a 1974 Calfornia boat with a 351 waukesha it turns over but won't start the that had it before me replaced the dist cap and I think he got the spark plugs on wrong so I need to know where they go on the cap

depends on year make and model 91 dodge spark plugs spark plug wires dist. cap and rotor if it has one change plugs and wires one at a time very important not to cross wires and put in wrong place replace air and fuel filter p.v.c, valve and should be good to go always make sure engine is cold before you start
then i would replace whats called the hall effect sensor its that black plastic plate you see when you take dist cap off. just pull rotor and lift up the sensor.dist cap is what holds it on.also under the sensor will be a stamped sheet metal piece that looks like the top of a castle wall. make sure its not loose on the shaft.if it is then new dist will be needed
strip heads off again and remove the valves and check the seats ,regrind the valves and fit new springs and seals ,also check the cam lobes for deformation (wear)
you shouldnt need a diagram there should be numbers on the tension leads coming from the distibutor and numbers on the engine block near the spark plugs just match the numbers and the leads are usually different lengths, also the distibutor cap has to be in the correct position if not it is basically the same as crossing the wires and putting them in the wrong spot which will stuff up the firing order
Fouled spark plug? Bad wire? Rotor / cap new? Check those things out, wear a thick rubber glove, take the wire off the non working plug, put a screwdriver next to the wire (while car is running) and see if a spark is made. If it is, your plug is bad. If no spark, replace wires. Still no spark? Change your rotor and cap. Still no spark? Ignition module. Following those steps will save you some green.
