1998 chevy blazer 4x4 got problem with reverse and drive hard to go. i found out emergecy brake broken. i dont know if i did drive with emergency brake then now reverse won't go backward. i checked with cable wire for reverse . i dont see cable move? pls suggest me i am deaf and my name is scott
Sounds like reverse let go you need to have trany rebuilt. soory for the bad news, good luck.

Sounds like a likely possibility, the reverse method definetly did the trick in loosening the brake, but it may still be slightly applied, put it in a warm place when you can, or have a shop look at it indoors, it may need to be re-adjusted, or even just warmed up until the cable frees up again

I'm Going to say the low/reverse 1 way roller clutch is broken,you are hearing the low/rev.planetary gear set spinning.it is at the very rear of the tranny,right where it bolts to the transfer case.It may have died of old age but the ones I've broken have been rocking the truck out of snow or holeshots.If that's the only thing wrong,it's a cheap(used) part but the whole transmission has to come apart,lots of labor.
