Need unlock code for my 99 oldsmobile radio s# 532544 and how to do it.

There should be a numerical code on the radio itself..you may have to pull the radio out

You need to see your dealer. They will press a series of buttons to obtain a factory code. They then need to call GM to get an unlock code to install into your radio.

you need to go to the dealer they need to let it come out of lock mode and then they need to get the code out the radio and they need to get the unlock code and enter it and then it will work,,,,only a dealer can get the unlock code,,,,,or buy a new radio,but that will cost more than the $100 the dealer wants and will take longer and be a pain in the as,,,,,,

These damn things always ask for the unlock code when you change out the battery.  Its a pain in the as. Call the manufacturer and give them your VIN and year and they should be able to give you a generic # to use, but sometimes they want you to pull the radio and give them the #s off of the back of the radio.

They are all random codes that are stored in the radio. The radio can lock it's self with possible 10.000 differant codes. You will need to take it to the dealer to have them use the gm scaner to retreive the code that is in the radio then they call the gm headquarters and those egg heads give an unlock code for the car. Your unlock code will be in your Users handbook if it is not then you need to go to a dealer it can cost a bit to have the radio reprogrammed with a new code.!!
