Your check engine light is telling you that one of your emissions systems has a problem and that your computer is storing codes which will help you find out what is wrong. On a 1992 Accord you do not have an OBDII service connector so you can not read any codes that might tell you what is wrong by using a simple code reader (such as the ones they have at Autozone which they can use to check your codes without charge). Instead, your car has a simple service check connector at or near the top of the passenger?s side kick panel. If it?s never been used it may be clipped into place somewhere back in there (best to pull the kick panel out and look around). It is usually but not always blue in color and is not a fixed unit but is instead on the end of two wires. It has two holes in the other end, which, when you want to check to see if your computer has any malfunctions codes for you, you jump with, ordinarily, a paper clip. While the car is off, find the service check connector, connect the two holes with a paper clip, then turn the ignition key to ON II (do NOT start the engine). At this point your trouble light should blink if the computer has codes. Codes 1?9 are represented by SHORT blinks (ex. Two short blinks would mean code 2). Codes 10 and up are represented by LONG and SHORT blinks. (ex. One Long and four short would mean code 14). This URL will take you to a OBD1 code list.http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php... I hope this gets you started on finding out what is wrong.
