I am trying to change my crankshaft and camshaft position sensors in nissan altima 2003.
please can you help me, pictorially, to locate them?
You are incorrect sir. There is a very good Youtube video showing you exactly where it is that is how I changed mine. The Crankshaft is located behind the engine block below and around from the cam sensor which is easly spotted looking at the engine. The crankshaft is in a difficult spot but once you figure out where it is it's easy...ish hope this helps
Their is only one sensor and it could be on one of the cams ,or on the flywheel
Testimonial: "thanks, u solved my worries. I actually had changed that sensor but i kept getting online information that it should have two! many thanks."
well i never .you say their is two?? i beleave you but i would never have known because never had to change one as YET .Trying to work out why it would have two though ,because only one is needed ,Only reason i can think of and that is the one on the crank is for the RPM gauge .But no doubt iam wrong yet again ,comes with being an old dinasaur ,bet you dont know how to set up rod brakes or scrape big end bearings though ?? not that any vehicles are left that work like this .

i am tempted to agree with him because niether me nor a couple of other mechanics could identify the location of the other sensor.
if you have indeed seen it and have the url of the youtube video, do you mind sharing?
many thanks..while i wait.
then you probably shouldnt have given an answer based on pure assumptions...& without stating so. Any you did solve an immediate headache and let me sleep well that night....except the pains of the hard-starting on the car has resumed!...so have the headaches.
